ABOUT US

Texas Flight Maintenance

Texas Flight Maintenance employs a staff of highly trained and experienced Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanics/IAs, who are authorized and certified by the FAA. On average, we service over 100 aircraft each year.

We started in 2008 as a family-owned and operated flight school geared towards personalized training tailored to fit the individual student, and we have maintained that family-oriented sensibility.

Our mechanics follow established manufacturer and FAA accepted methods and procedures, and our quality control system allows us to double check our work and in many cases flight-test the aircraft for the customer.

We have always taken a professional approach towards training while maintaining an informal atmosphere at our facility. We pride ourselves on our ability to meet the needs and schedules of most students, even through our continued growth as a school. We are always in the process of acquiring more aircraft in order to better serve the needs and desires of our students and clientele, with our fleet now including a complex Piper Arrow and a twin engine Beechcraft Baron.

Throughout our growth, we have strived to continue to maintain a neighborhood atmosphere by hosting a monthly cookout, FAA Safety Meetings for the local pilot (and student pilot) population, our Customer Appreciation Nights (cookouts on certain Friday nights for customers and others), and the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), an Auxiliary of the United States Air Force. We also enjoy working with the community, and have hosted such events as the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals Aviation Career Education Day and even aviation-themed birthday parties.

Texas Flight spent its first 5 years operating as a FAR Part 61 school. For the last several years, having received approval from the FAA in this regard, we have been working towards operating as a FAR Part 141 Flight School, which allows us more opportunities for training both foreign and domestic students. The requirements are more structured than Part 61, and we are proud of the professionals we have working with us to make this happen.

We look forward to training the coming generations of pilots as the aviation industry continues to flourish and grow on a world-wide scale.
